The Hushpuppy is a well know place to eat here in town with great food and good service.. now that the owner Van has it back we will get the quality of food & service that we once did.. if you haven't ate here then your missing a great meal.. its all take out..
Been coming here for years and always the best, freshest, huge quantity without busting the pocket book! Cole slaw is even the best!

As a truck driver I had a real good experience with them the food was fresh hot delicious. The host at that time was very gracious he offered to let me try something that I hadn't tried before added a extra piece of fish on to my plate I was very very taken by the the generosity and the pleasantness of the atmosphere the food was very very good
Fantastic fried catfish and shrimp. Fresh tasting and perfectly fried. - Update - back again. Today was just the catfish dinner. It was great. The catfish was fresh and delicate with a nice crunchy and flavorful coating. Fries were great and crisp on the outside with a soft inside. Coleslaw good too. Highly reccomend a visit! Just remember its cash only.
Staff was super friendly and the food was amazing! Hush puppy's were a little dry ( add a can of cream corn lol ) but everything else was great! Fresh catfish and shrimp! Definitely will be going back!
We ate at Hushpuppies nearly 2 years ago, and again today. Food made to order. Fried catfish has a cornmeal crust, delicious. Fries have a light batter coating. Hush puppies unremarkable, but not bad. Both visits we enjoyed the picnic tables outside of the restaurant. No pictures because we gobbled down the food before thinking about writing a review.
